Memorial Middle School Library-
Reminder – please send any email addresses to Kim Bellio at email@example.com for our email contract group. This will be the last month that minutes will be printed. Starting in November minutes will be only be sent electronically to those on our email list.
Balance sheets were distributed
Katie submitted staff names to City Hall for payroll deductions. Katie is hoping that dues will start being deducted from the second paycheck in November. By-weekly deductions this year are: Teachers- $55.27, Para’s: $19.00, Custodians: $30.80. For teachers receiving 20 paychecks the deduction would be $63.77.
Donna and Katie went to a training in Auburn. IRS has changed its regulations regarding association employees. We are all (Rep. Council, Eboard, and Officers) considered association employees if we receive a stipend and our pay will now be taxed. Katie will be getting together the paperwork that needs to be filled out
Katie has a list of people who have not sent in paperwork for membership. Katie asked that each school contact these people personally to discuss their options for joining the association. If someone chooses not to become a member they must pay the agency fee as stated in our contract on page 4, Article II, Section 10.
Katie also has a list for each school of all their staff members. Katie has asked that each building double check the list and make any changes. Also, Katie would like each building to ask whether the staff member is receiving 20 or 26 paychecks. If there is new staff or staff not listed on these lists, Katie has asked that you add the new staff to the lists. Return these lists to Katie at FHS.
